A structured, personal programme that helps a student understand themselves and map a realistic route forward. Choose the five themes that fit where they are.
Every student is different, so the package flexes. A Transition Year student might start with subject choice; a 6th year focuses on the CAO and what comes after. Each theme is an hour, one-to-one and online.
Every path considered
College is one route among several. Real guidance weighs apprenticeships, Further Education and direct entry to work with the same seriousness — and helps a student choose with their eyes open.
Why Pegasus
Most providers offer one piece of this. Pegasus brings together the qualifications, the assessment tools, the classroom experience and the full range of routes — which is what makes the guidance genuinely useful.
A qualified Guidance Counsellor (PG Dip, DCU) and accredited coach — not a generic consultant.
BPS Registered Test User, using real psychometric tools to ground every conversation.
A serving educator who works with these choices every day — current, not out of touch.
Apprenticeships, PLC and further education weighed equally with the CAO — not just points.
For junior cycle
Guidance doesn't have to wait until 6th year. Getting the early steps right — settling into secondary school, and choosing the senior cycle path that fits — builds confidence now and makes every later decision easier.
First year
One-to-one support for the move from primary school — settling in, getting organised, building study foundations, and finding their feet socially and academically.
€120 / session · 3-session package €330
Second year
One-to-one support for the social and emotional side of second year — motivation, confidence and everyday resilience, before the pressure of exam years sets in.
Supportive, skills-based work — not a substitute for clinical mental health support. Where a need goes further, I refer to the right professional support.
Third year
The big senior-cycle decisions, thought through together: subject choice, Transition Year or straight through, LCA or Leaving Cert, and an early sense of direction.
€120 / session · 3-session package €330
The natural first step toward the Senior Cycle Career Package.
"We weren't looking for our son to choose a career at 14 — we wanted him to start understanding himself and the opportunities available to him. The sessions did exactly that. He is now asking questions and exploring areas we'd never previously discussed."

What families say
Junior Cycle — 1st to 3rd Year
Our daughter had started worrying that she should already know what she wanted to do when she was older. The sessions completely changed that conversation. She came away more confident in her strengths and excited to explore different possibilities.
Subject choice had become a source of stress in our house. Billy helped our daughter look at her strengths, interests and future possibilities without telling her what she should choose. She came away confident that the choices were genuinely her own.
We had tried having conversations about subjects and the future at home, but they often went nowhere. Having someone independent talk it through with our son made a huge difference. He engaged with the process in a completely different way.
Senior Cycle & Career Guidance
Our daughter was completely overwhelmed by the number of choices available to her. Billy helped her understand her strengths, explore options we hadn't considered and, most importantly, make a decision that felt like her own.
What stood out for us was how well Billy connected with our son. He didn't simply tell him which careers might suit him — he listened, asked the right questions and helped him work things out for himself.
I went into the sessions with no real idea what I wanted to do. Billy helped me understand my strengths and interests and showed me options I hadn't thought about before. I left with a much clearer idea of where I want to go.
By the end of the process, our son had narrowed down his options and had a clear plan for what he wanted to explore next. Just as importantly, it felt like his decision rather than something we had chosen for him.
